The rainbow is a great blessing from God

It was recently National Pride Week. I find this a bit strange since the Bible teaches that pride in oneself is a negative thing. Any of my talents and physical attributes are from God and so God is to be praised and not myself. I am a sinner and deserve hell and so there is nothing in me that deserves praise. God  only deserves to be praised.

I choose to take a day to be proud that I am a child of God and have been forgive by God through Jesus Christ. I welcome any Bible-believing Christian to join me. Let's be proud of the right things.

As for the rainbow colors we see displayed, it is a perversion of the true meaning of the rainbow. A promise from God that he will never again destroy the world with a flood even though the world deserves destruction for our falling away from the Word of God.

To me the colors of the rainbow are a indication of Gods great and wonderful creation. He did not have to make us with the ability to see colors. Being able to see the colors of the rainbow is a great blessing from God. Thank you God, I am proud to be part of your creation.
