YMCA hosting summer challenge
SANDPOINT — Need a little help to get the most out of summer?
The Y is here to help.
The YMCA of the Inland Northwest’s recently kicked off its Summer Bucket List Challenge and invites everyone in the community to participate, Y membership not required. the challenge began runs through July 3.
With more than 40 activities to choose from, YMCA officials said it's a chance to enjoy the best of the season.
Those taking part will have the chance to complete at least 10 activities during the challenge and be eligible to win the $2,000 national grand prize, YMCA officials said. Participants will receive three text messages a week with inspiration and active ideas for you, your family, friends, and even your pets.

With challenges ranging from getting lost in a book, to volunteering at a non-profit organization, to participating in a YMCA group exercise class, everyone can find some fun and interesting things to get them reaching for new adventures this summer, YMCA officials said.
"No matter where you go or what you do, take the challenge along with you and check off fun activities," Mary Berry, YMCA communications and marketing director, said.
No YMCA activities are required to take part in the challenge.
"The YMCA wants everyone in our community to find their sunshine," Berry said. "The Summer Bucket List Challenge is part of the YMCA Strong Life community, where thousands of lives are changed every day.
