$10,000 grant available to area non-profits

Non-profit organizations in Bonner County are encouraged to apply for a $10,000 grant offered this spring by 101 Women Sandpoint.

To apply, applicants must be a non-profit organization that serves Bonner County and focuses on basic human need and/or social services. The deadline for submission of the online grant is April 15.

Three applicants will be chosen from those that apply. These top three applicants will present their organization’s project and need for funding at the 101 Women’s bi-annual spring membership meeting. This year the meeting will be on May 26.

101 Women Sandpoint is a non-profit funding organization that awards two, $10,000 grants per year to non-profit organizations that are located and operate in Bonner County.

Since their formation 5 1/2 years ago, 101 Women Sandpoint have presented 11 area non-profits with grants totaling $110,000. Winners have included, Bonner Partners in Care, Sandpoint Area Seniors, Food for Our Children, Book Trust, Community Cancer Services, CASA, North Idaho Aerospace, Sandpoint Community Envision Center, Music Conservatory of Sandpoint, Priest River Ministries and UCAN.
