More postponements for SHS athletics
St. Patrick's day wasn’t very lucky for Sandpoint High School's spring sports teams.
All of the events slated for yesterday were postponed.
That includes baseball, softball, and tennis..
March 17 was going to be the busiest day for Sandpoint athletics this week, but alas field and court conditions prevented games and matches from taking place.
It started with Sandpoint tennis, whose match with Lake City got postponed.
The Bulldogs and Timberwolves will face off on Monday, March 21.
Its next event will be a two day tournament in Clarkston starting today.
The softball team was the next victim of a postponement, having its season opener against Timberlake delayed.
Currently, the Bulldogs’ game against the Tigers does not have a makeup date scheduled.
Its next scheduled event will be the WTP Spring Break tournament at Vallivue High School.
It’ll be a two day event starting on Friday, March 25.
The baseball team finished off the trifecta of game delays; it announced yesterday that its game against Timberlake was shelved.
Its game against the Tigers was an away game at Spirit Lake and has yet to be rescheduled.
The baseball team will attempt to take the field for the first time this season at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 at West Valley High School.
The Sandpoint track team is slated to open up its season at 12 p.m.today at Sweeny Track in Lewiston.
