Chopped Challenge continues Saturday

| November 2, 2022 1:00 AM

The second round of Chopped Challenge, Season 2, will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Priest River Library.

The competition features two age groups, each with their own sets of ingredients. The first is for budding chefs who are age 13 and under; and the second is for chefs who are age 14-100-plus.

Contestants must prepare a dish that incorporates the “secret” ingredients and bring it, along with a copy of their recipe to the library.

The “secret” ingredients for this round are pumpkin and rosemary for the 13 and under group, and faro, coconut (any kind) and pepper (any kind) for the 14-100-plus group.

Entries will be judged on presentation, taste and creativity.

First, second and third place will be awarded in each age group.

The first place entry will receive the coveted golden spatula which they will keep until the final Chopped Challenge of 2022 on the first Saturday in December.
