School, infrastructure spending just means leaving

Improving schools and other infrastructure sounds tempting but … it doesn't help those who live here. This is even more the case when we use outside money to do it, like federal dollars. When we use money we didn't (proportionally) earn, we build things we can't afford. If we make Sandpoint fancy and expensive, it appeals to wealthy newcomers. Locals can't compete. The Sandpoint area is charming as it is. Don't be sold on "improvements." Don't vote for spending that will push yourself right out.
