I remember when Election Day was Election Day
On Election Day is when everybody voted. Some folks needed absentee ballots if they could not get to their polling place. People around the world who are in the military, people living or working elsewhere, people who are home bound or in a hospital or rest home, and people who are ill. All of those absentee ballots had to be received and counted prior to or on Election Day. Plus on Election Day all of the bars were closed.
Now in some states people can vote up to 40 days before Election Day using a mail-in ballot or dropping their ballots into one of those drive
by ballot boxes. Why? How does that work? Is it fair? I don't get it! I think Election Day is when everyone votes if they are registered voters. I don't believe there should be a Republican or Democrat ballot. There should be just one ballot for voters to select who they want and approve or deny any propositions on the ballot. How hard can this be?
