The right choice for LD1 is Steve Johnson

Steve Johnson is the best choice to represent Bonner and Boundary counties in the Idaho Senate.

He is a lifelong resident who represents the feelings of North Idahoans. Steve is a retired educator, farmer, business owner and builder.  He supports education, including the staff, programs, and facilities needed to provide a quality education for our children. Education is our community’s future and top priority. Steve has worked in the classroom and as an administrator. He understands the lifelong benefits of education. Steve will work to reduce property taxes, preserve our rural lifestyle, and insure clean water and air.

His opponent Scott Herndon wants to sell our public lands to the highest bidder. He parades in front of our schools with gruesome pictures  of aborted fetuses on picket signs in front of young school-age children. He instituted a frivolous lawsuit insisting he needed to carry concealed weapons at the Festival at Sandpoint. The lawsuit cost taxpayers over $200,000 in legal fees to defend. He lied and misrepresented the record of Jim Woodward, our incumbent state senator in the primary election.
