Doris Ann Nuss, 87

Doris Ann Nuss, 87, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Sandpoint, Idaho, and a graveside to follow at Pinecrest Cemetery.

Doris was born on June 4, 1935, to Lawrence and Ruby Rothenfluh in Sandpoint, where she spent her life. After high school, she attended Business College in Spokane, Wash.

She then married Don Reynolds and had five children; she is the only woman in the history of Bonner County to give birth to triplets, born in Sandpoint. She raised her children and worked at Bonner General Hospital as a laundry supervisor for 22 years. Later in life, she got married to Orville Nuss. After Doris retired, she and Orville traveled together. They spent many winters in Arizona and California in their motor home.

Doris loved animals, wildlife, gardening, and square dancing.

Doris is survived by four children, Kathy (Kelly) Lorencz of Sterling, Alberta, Canada, Brian (Dawna Jo) Reynolds of Sagle, Idaho, Kevin (Debbie) Reynolds of Sandpoint, and Karen (Scott) Bradford of Maple Valley, Wash.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister; Joyce Spracklin of Jackson, Miss.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Orville; and son Doug Reynolds.
