Patricia Ann Hughes, 68

Patricia Ann Hughes, 68, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022 in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services have been held.

Patty was born on March 5, 1954 in Buffalo, N.Y., to Michael and Bernita Hughes. She grew up in Spokane, Wash., before the family moved to Missoula where she graduated from Hellgate High School in 1973. She worked in Missoula at American Dental until 1986 when she moved to Spokane. She moved to Sandpoint in 2001 and worked for UNICEP. Patty enjoyed reading, the outdoors, watching movies, talking with family and crafting. She had a good ear and knowledge of music, and was skilled in creating miniature vignettes. Patty loved cats and always had one at home. She had a sense of humor and was fun to be around.  She was interested in and cared for others. Patty will be greatly missed, and her family feels blessed to have had her in their lives. She is survived by her brother ,Douglass Hughes of Sandpoint; two step-sisters, Peggy Adair and Sally Stultz, both of Spokane; and cousin, Denny Meyers of Valley Ford, Wash. She was preceded in death by her parents.

The family requests donations to the humane society in Sandpoint in lieu of flowers.
