Nov. 17, 1922 – BEST SALES DAY YET
Wednesday’s sales day was the most satisfactory so far. Several merchants had the largest trade day of any sales day. A feature of the sale was a 2-ton truck driven by the Jux brothers of Thompson Falls, who brought a load of personal effects and ‘plunder’ to sell. They closed out everything from heirlooms to farm machinery. The family was attracted to the sale by sheets sent out to western Montana. “We had been considering coming to sales day for several months and decided we’d pay for the trip with the sale of some of our old junk,” said one of the brothers. “We loaded up the truck and came over and we sold out clean. We are coming again.”
