Concerned about inflation? Vote for Herndon

| October 2, 2022 1:00 AM

Lately, it seems to me as though the costs for every good we consume have risen on a daily basis.

Fuel, groceries, new and used car prices, experiences and more are all sitting at astronomically higher price points now than they were last year, or the year before. These inflated costs are due to the reckless spending by elected Democrats and dishonest Republicans alike, along with their complete disregard for the importance of embracing the resources found so plentifully within our own country. They favor, instead, sourcing these necessary goods and services from China, Russia, and other countries in different parts of the world.

At the start of the present presidential administration, the U.S. was fuel independent and had a plentiful supply of food stored up, in case of emergency. Now, our U.S. fuel lines have largely been closed and our national food stores depleted to what many experts consider troublingly low levels.

These things and more are of deep concern to Scott Herndon. He wants to see financial independence from the federal government upheld as a value within the Idaho Senate. He believes that you keeping more of your hard-earned money in your pocket, through lower taxation, is a constitutionally held right of all Idahoans and would see that his decisions in the Senate would reflect that value.

He is a family man who believes in traditional values and morality, and knows that being someone who is of good character is a non-negotiable value in the minds of all of us in Bonner and Boundary counties. Many run as Republicans and independents, but do not truly reflect the desires of the very conservative voter base in our region.

Vote Scott Herndon on Nov. 8, to uphold the true, conservative values that make North Idaho so special.
