Cassie Hoye, 65

On Sept. 3, 2022, Cassie Hoye, loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 65.

Cassie was born on Feb. 7, 1957, in South Gate, Calif., to Sam and Mary Pearl Howard. Cassie and the family moved to Idaho and Cassie was known to be a fireball as a child.

Cassie has two daughters and two sons; oldest Brandy Perez, twins Larry and Travis Hoye, and youngest Nicole Hoye. Cassie was many things, a cook at a nursing home, a cook at a restaurant, she worked retail and she also did fabric printing. At the age of 49 she was diagnosed with brain tumors, which resulted in many brain surgeries as well as radiation therapy. She also had a ruptured aorta and wound up being the 10,000th heart surgery patient at Kootenai Medical Center.

For everything she went through, she fought to live until she just couldn’t anymore.

Cassie is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Pearl; and a brother, Floyd Howard.

She is survived by her four children, Brandy, Larry, Travis and Nicole; and also by her many grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. Cassie will be buried next to her mother Pearl in Westmond Cemetery.
