Robert 'Bob' Magic Davis

| October 6, 2022 1:00 AM

Robert "Bob" Magic Davis passed away on Sept. 10, 2022, in Sandpoint, Idaho, at the age of 80.

He was born April 12, 1942, in Hollywood, Calif. He met the love of his life, Linda Johnson, in 1970 and spent the rest of his life with her.

Bob will forever be remembered for the love of his family, his witty personality and storytelling. With careers at Paramount Studios and Beverly Hills Fire Department, he had many stories to tell. One of his favorite things was telling people about how he was fortunate enough to be cast as an extra in an Elvis Presley movie.

Bob and Linda moved to Sandpoint in 1977 and he provided a loving life for their daughter, Becky. Bob worked at Hewlett Packard and then Agilent Technologies. When he retired it gave him more time to be with his family whom he cherished. He and Linda spent many winters in Mesa, Ariz., where he enjoyed playing tennis and softball, and making lifelong friends.

For the past 12 years he fought a courageous battle against Parkinson's Disease and, like a true hero, never lost the sparkle in his beautiful blue eyes or the ability to make those around him smile.

Bob was a member of the Sandpoint Parkinson's support group and it meant a lot to him.

Bob is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Becky; son-in-law, Alex Shelton; his sister-in-law Carole Hughes and husband Ed; and his niece and nephews, Debbie, Daniel and Greg.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Myra Davis; his grandparents, Dyfed and Grace Jones; and his in-laws, Wally and LaVera Johnson.
