Stories sought for exhibit

The Pend Oreille Arts Council is collecting both personal stories and quilts from the World War II, Korea, and Vietnam eras.

The stories are being sought in preparation for an upcoming show to be mounted at the University of Idaho’s Extension Center.

The show, entitled "Quilts of Valor", will culminate on Veteran’s Day in November. Also featured in this show will be authentic uniforms from these wars. The stories will bring an extra dimension to the show and POAC officials said they are looking forward to the community's submissions.
