HARRISON — The Wampus Cats did it again Friday night, smashing Harrison 46-0.

“It was great because our freshmen and sophomores got to play,” head coach Brian Arthun said. “It was domination from the first play to the last. We didn’t let them get more than a few first downs.”

Arthun said the game was good all around, saying there wasn’t anything Clark Fork players could have done to have played better. He called out the great chemistry between offensive lineman Wyatt Mintken and running back Chase Sanroman, both of whom ran the ball in several times.

He also shouted out quarterback Ethan Howard for his strong performance which included several touchdown passes and hardly any incompletes and no interceptions.

Arthun mentioned the team usually had to warm up, but this time they came out of the gate hard. “We had been working on getting them to play aggressive right off the bat,” coach said.

The first touchdown was scored by Chase Sanroman, on a one yard run. He also caught a pass from Howard for the two point conversion. The next touchdown was a 35 yard pass by Howard to wide receiver Cole Sanroman. His brother Chase ran the ball for the two pointer, again.

Next, Mintken ran the ball ten yards for another TD. Chase, again, ran the ball in for the two point conversion. And thus ends the first quarter, 24-0.

In the second quarter, Mintken found that paydirt again, running the ball five yards. Cole Sanroman ran it in for another two points, putting the score at 32-0.

In the third quarter, Chase, at it again, ran the ball 15 yards for yet another touchdown. They did not manage the two point conversion this time, though. The quarter ends 38-0.

Freshman Payton Stevens ran two yards to bring in the last touchdown. Carson Yetter ran in the two point conversion to end the game 46-0.

The Wampus Cats’ next game is at home against the Lakeside Knights at 7 p.m.
