Library hosting 'Chopped Challenge'
Season 2 of the Priest River Library's "Chopped Challenge" will get underway on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the library.
There are two age groups, each with their own set of ingredients.
Ages 13 and under need to use the “secret” ingredients eggs and green onions while ages 14-100-plus need to use zucchini, mayonnaise and breadcrumbs.
Contestants prepare a dish that incorporates the “secret” ingredients and bring it, along with a copy of their recipe, to the event on Saturday, Oct. 1 at noon.
Entries will be judged on presentation, taste and creativity. First, second and third place will be awarded in each age group and the first place entries will receive the coveted golden spatula.
Winners will get to keep the trophy until the next challenge, set for the first Saturday in November.
