NO CHANGE IN FARRAGUT STATUS

The former Farragut naval training station will continue in status quo indefinitely so far as the proposal for its use as an Idaho state park is concerned. Congress halted any action on Idaho Gov. Robins’ request for a park by renewing indefinitely Resolution No. 31, which was passed last October to provide lawmakers time to study what should be the proper disposition of Farragut and similar military reservations throughout the nation. The WAA office at Farragut is expected to close in 30 days, as all salable property there will be disposed of by then. The original five-year lease between the federal government and Farragut College and Technical Institute is still operative.
