Danae Meyer, 51

Danae Michelle Meyer, 51, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023, at her home in Kootenai, Idaho.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Cedar Hills Church with Pastor Eric Rust officiating.

Danae was born on May 20, 1971, in Fremont, Calif., to Stephen and Eileen Meyer. She grew up and attended schools in Boulder Creek, Calif., graduating from San Lorenzo High School in 1989. She then studied at Wayne’s College of Beauty in Santa Cruz and became a co-owner of Belleza Salon in Santa Cruz.

Danae married Robert Beers on October 20, 2006, in Santa Cruz. In that same year, they moved to Sandpoint to raise a family. Danae worked with her mother Eileen at E.T. Wireless in Bonners Ferry. She also worked in Sandpoint at Columbia Bank and at Potlatch Federal Credit Union. She then went back to school and trained to become a Paraprofessional. She was hired as an early reading interventionist at Kootenai Elementary until 2022.

Danae attended Cedar Hills Church. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting, camping, and traveling.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Beers of Sandpoint; two children, Kayla and Zack Beers of Sandpoint; and her mother, Eileen Marcotte of Hayden.

She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Meyer; and grandfather, Art “Pepe” Marcotte.
