Groups work to protect mothers, unborn children
Lawrence Fury (Bee, March 26, 2023) claims it is not the job of the government to legislate morality. So the government should not be involved in enacting laws or passing legislation that curbs, restrains, or restricts human behavior or morality? Are you suggesting there should not be laws against theft or murder? Even how we drive our automobiles on the highway is a moral issue and is regulated by law so that we are not a danger to others. Laws necessarily take away some of our freedom to express ourselves to protect people from the harmful actions and choices of others...
