INTEREST KEEN IN PEND d’OREILLE

An increasing stream of inquiries about Lake Pend d’Oreille fishing and vacations is being received by the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, according to Don Samuelson, president. They are coming from all parts of the country, but special interest is being shown by Californians. This year there will be additional vacation facilities. Both Pend d’Oreille lodge, constructed last year on Contest Point, and the new Talache Lodge will open late in April and there are several new tourist camps in Sandpoint. The lake’s fishing fleet is also being enlarged. W.S. Hopper’s new Kamloops Resort at Trestle Creek will have boats available, while Kenmor Marina in Sandpoint will operate a charter fishing cruiser.
