Panida welcoming 'Sounds in the Round'

| April 22, 2023 1:00 AM

Katelyn Shook, Josh Hedlund and Larsen Gardens (Sarah Edmonds) are teaming up on May 26 for an intimate evening of songs and stories at "Sounds in the Round" at the Panida Little Theater.

These three artists will perform solo and also collaborate with each other as they take turns at the mic throughout two sets, Panida officials said Friday.

Katelyn Shook, of Shook Twins, is producing the show. A Sandpoint local, she has performed with her band every year at the Panida and several times at The Festival at Sandpoint. However, this will be her first time performing solo in town — without her identical twin.

Fellow local, Josh Hedlund, is another long-time favorite and a staple in the Sandpoint music scene with mellow vocals and intricate folky guitar playing that are mesmerizing. He and Shook have collaborated quite often over the years.

Sarah Edmonds, AKA Larsen Gardens, is a new artist in town from Seattle, with songs that are retro-folky and absolutely beautiful.

Only 65 tickets are available for this intimate not-to-be-missed performance.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. with the show set to start at 8 p.m. The Little Panida Theater is located at 302 N. First Ave. Tickets are $25.
