Elizabeth Gene DaVault, 80

Elizabeth Gene DaVault, 80, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023, at her home in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Elizabeth was born March 12, 1943, in Nevada City, Calif., to Charles and Lulu Browning.

When she was 17 years old, a friend at school introduced her to a young man named Jim DaVault. The two fell in love and were married Dec. 11, 1960, in Reno, Nev.

The couple moved around for a while, until coming to Sandpoint with their five children in 1976. Within a year, she and Jim built a home in the Samuels area and that is where they raised their children.

Elizabeth loved her family; she enjoyed having her grandkids and great-grandkids come over and hang out.

She is survived by four children, Jack Lee (Debbie) DaVault, Johnathon Lamar Sr. (Kerry) DaVault, Necole Elizabeth Lee and Jeffery Eugene (Nancy) Davault. Elizabeth was blessed with 13 grandkids and 26 great-grandkids. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Carl DaVault Sr.; and her oldest son, Jim Carl DaVault Jr.

She loved going to the casino to play the slot machines and loved her programs on TV. She will be missed.
