Why aren’t state’s trespassing laws enforced?

| August 1, 2023 1:00 AM

Has anyone had a good experience with the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office? They don’t want to be bothered with trespassing and refuse to enforce the trespassing laws of our state, which happen to be pretty strict.

It’s no wonder people laugh when they are threatened with a call to the police. They know nothing will happen, and they say that — yeah, I know it’s private property, but there’s nothing you can do — and thanks to our do-nothing sheriff’s office. They are right. They know exactly what they can get away with and take full advantage.

It would be nice to get some help as a tax-paying, law-abiding citizen.
