Dolores Huellemann, 81

| August 9, 2023 1:00 AM

Dolores Ann (Walker) Huellemann of Priest River, Idaho, went to join her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 30, 2023.

Dolores (Dee) was born May 21, 1942, to Alva and Lela Walker in Pocatello, Idaho. She was the fourth of five children, including William (Bill), Alton, Althea and Malin. Dolores moved with her family to Priest River as a young child and was raised with a love for the beauty of the surrounding mountains and life on the ranch.

Dolores moved back to southern Idaho where she married and went on to have four children, Deborah, Angela, Sean and Patrick. She and the kids lived in Pocatello, Boise and Kuna before she returned to northern Idaho to be closer to family.

Dolores found happiness throughout her life being around animals, especially her beloved horses, and in her later years, the deer that would visit her each day.

Dolores found the love of her life, Duane, when he quite literally swept her off of her feet after asking her to dance one special night out in Couer d'Alene, Idaho. They were married in 1988 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they moved back to her beloved Priest River and retired on a piece of property she affectionately called "The Ranch." Their time together was much too short as Duane became ill and passed away in 1995. Dolores remained devoted to him until her last day and looked forward to being reunited with him in their eternal home.

Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; daughters, Deborah (15 days old) and Angela Tucker; parents, Alva and Lela; and brothers, Bill and Alton.

She is survived by sons, Sean (Kelly) Calligan of Spokane, and Patrick Calligan of Priest River; sister, Althea Kruse of Priest River; brother, Malin Walker of Pocatello; nine grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren.

Dolores will be laid to rest beside her husband, Duane, on Aug. 9, 2023, in the Evergreen Cemetery in Priest River.

No formal services will be provided at her request. Family and friends are welcome to visit her final resting place.
