Kids are more important than political agendas
As the parent of a successful Priest River Lamanna High School graduate and valedictorian, I spent many hours in West Bonner schools as a volunteer in the classroom and PTO/PTA, and as a substitute. During those years, the teachers’ and staff’s dedication and love for the kids were always evident.
After hosting more than a few school field trips to the library and having teacher volunteers at Summer Reading, I know this still holds true. The group wanting to dismantle the public school system has resorted to lies, unproven accusations, derogatory name-calling, and grasping at straws to discredit and disrespect our community.
Woke? Marxist? BLM? Really?
As someone who worked for a board of trustees under ID Code Title 33 (Education), I am shocked at the disregard for the laws of Idaho and the policies of WBCSD. All those years, I never knew that we didn’t need to worry about sending our budget in on time because there is "no enforcement."
This is not a few woke liberals trying to cause trouble; this is a conservative community that is irate about being railroaded. A good thing has come out of this group’s efforts to cause dissension and divide our community. People have set aside their political views and united to return to a district where the children are the main priority.
The parents that this group has so much contempt for were my Girl Scouts and 4-H kids, who now know a whole lot about open meetings, the laws of Idaho, and WBSCD policies, and I am very, very proud of them.
Please vote yes to recall the WBCSD trustees. West Bonner kids should be more important than political agendas.
