CO-OP HOSPITAL SPECIAL MEETING
The Cooperative Community hospital assn. will have a special membership meeting Thursday to consider a proposal to sell the hospital site to the county. If the proposed bond issue is passed at November’s general election, and if members approve disposal of the property to the county, this would become the site of the new hospital. The S. Boyer site [corner of Lakeview Boulevard & Boyer] was selected by popular vote by the public a year ago as the favored site for a hospital, and has been approved by state and federal hospital agencies.

MEMORIAL FIELD BEING READIED
Lakeview park received a new name this week. Henceforth it will be known as Memorial field in honor of those men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice for their country in time of war. Bud Timblin, secretary of the Bonner County War Memorial Commission declared this to be the name of the park. The commission was advised that a check for $1000 from the state of Idaho has been received for erection of a war memorial. The Memorial field was sponsored by the Sandpoint Athletic Booster club which was organized last February to promote athletics and sports.
