Ponderay Rotary announces scholarship winners

The Rotary Club of Ponderay recently honored the organization's 2023 scholarship awardees along with major sponsors.

The club had some successful fundraising initiatives this year, as well as generous donations from community members. In addition, the Blue Skies Foundation awarded the club a grant to be used toward scholarships. Also helping were major sponsors Ting, Avista, 219 Lounge, Litehouse, Kochava, Umpqua Bank, Paradise Construction, In and Out Painting, Inc., and Sandpoint Furniture.

All of this allowed the club to distribute $33,500 in scholarships to many deserving students. Twenty-three graduating seniors were awarded scholarships, while 21 students already in college also received scholarships. Students are attending colleges or trade schools all over the nation in many different fields of study.
