Sunnie Hansen, 83

Sunnie Belle Hansen, 83, passed away Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at her home in Garfield Bay, Idaho.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

She was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Los Angeles, Calif. She grew up and attended schools in Los Angeles, graduating high school early. She then pursued her passion for interior design.

She trained under well-known Pasadena designer Ella Green. She worked for Sears in Pasadena, and helped many stunt doubles design their homes.

In 1990, she transferred with Sears to Spokane. She married Lon Hansen on June 5, 1994, in Spokane. In 2006, they moved to their new home in Garfield Bay, overlooking Lake Pend Oreille.

She loved to collect antiques, and her prize collectibles were two full-size restored carousel horses.

Sunnie is survived by her husband, Lon Hansen of Sagle, Idaho.
