Claims of fascism are sad, unwarranted
I was astounded to read the letter from C. Kimi Kondo (Daily Bee, Aug. 20). C. Kimi Kondo graduated from Priest River Lamanna High School over 50 years ago, in 1970.
Nothing on the face of the earth is the same after 50 years, and to intimate that they have special knowledge is simply impossible. The most telling detail, however, in this self-serving letter is when they say, and I quote, "My Dad fought these fascists and Nazis in Italy and Germany. Now is the time to fight them here on our homefront."
Calling people who have different political ideologies fascists and Nazis just because you disagree with them is a sure sign of an ignorant and uneducated mind. It is very sad that you have to resort to name-calling and referring to people in the Priest River community as fascists and Nazis because you have no other way to express yourself. You have learned nothing in life's journey other than ignorance and hatred.
