Council to consider zoning code amendments
SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint City Council’s upcoming meeting will include a presentation of proposed zoning code amendments and a review and acceptance of the county canvass of November’s election results, among other items.
Proposed amendments recommended by the Planning and Zoning Commission, if approved, would create an administrative site plan approval expiration, clarify administrative appeal language, and add a definition for application noticing requirements, officials said on an agenda report.
Following the Sandpoint general city election in November, the Bonner County Commissioners met to canvas election results, as required by Idaho Code. Now the results must be reviewed and accepted by the council.
Other items on the agenda include the approval of the purchase of two new Dodge Rams for the Water Treatment Plant and consideration of an award of contract for timber harvest in the Little Sand Creek watershed. Following a first reading Nov. 1 of the proposed ordinance, the council will also consider approval of an Avista gas and electric franchise agreement.
The meeting will take place Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Sandpoint City Hall, 1123 Lake St., starting at 5:30 p.m. The public can attend in person or online at sandpointidaho.gov.
