Give a furry friend a home for the holidays

| December 12, 2023 1:00 AM

PONDERAY — Every animal deserves a home for the holidays, even if that home might be temporary, and Better Together Animal Alliance is hoping to find those for every pet in the shelter this Christmas.

The organization’s request is that every animal currently available for adoption goes home with a foster family a few days before Christmas so each pet feels love for the holiday season.

Money is tight around the holidays, and the alliance understands that not everyone is in a position to adopt. However, fostering is a great way to house a short-term guest, and the organization is looking for anyone able to provide a warm bed to a furry friend for a few days.

“We want to see every pet go to a loving home over the holidays,” the alliance said. “We provide all the supplies and support, you just provide the holiday cheer.”

Multiple animal pick-up slots are available Dec. 23 and pets are requested to be dropped back off Dec. 26 — that is, unless they find their “furever” home.
