School board meets Tuesday
PONDERAY — Lake Pend Oreille School District will be meeting for its monthly board meeting Tuesday.
Discussion about a possible board-hosted town hall meeting and the Idaho School Board Association's annual convention report are on the agenda. First readings about revisions of policies regarding the middle-level credit system, education of homeless children, and the district hiring process will be reviewed.
The board will also be conducting a declaration of candidates elected to the Lake Pend Oreille School Board in the November election.
Other board action items include approvals of the Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High School scholarship endowment fund and Clark Fork Jr./Sr. High School gymnasium roofing shingle replacement.
The board will also go into executive session to consider policy regarding “evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student,” the agenda said.
The meeting will take place today at 5 p.m. at the LPOSD district office, 901 Triangle Drive, Ponderay.
