Library hosting ornament exchange

| December 13, 2023 1:00 AM

The Sandpoint and Clark Fork branches of the East Bonner County Library are hosting the district's second annual ornament exchange for the community, said the library's Brenden Bobby.

Area residents are invited to stop by their local branch and give or take an ornament from the tree.

"This is a great opportunity to feel connected to your community," Bobby said. "Homemade ornaments share a part of yourself with those around you. Even store-bought ornaments are sharing a part of your family history and life experience with your neighbors."

Ornaments are hung on a tree in the Sandpoint library lobby, and on the Clark Fork library’s lemon tree. Residents just need to stop by either of the libraries to participate in the exchange.

Additionally, the Clark Fork library is hosting its annual winter coat exchange which helps community members in need to get through the winter safely and comfortably, Bobby said.

"As always, if you need a comfortable space to escape the cold this winter, stop by either branch to get some respite from the snow and ice," he added.
