Internal Medicine Associates joining BGH
SANDPOINT — Bonner General Health is adding another facility to its portfolio of clinics.
In the next two weeks, Internal Medicine Associates, PA, and its providers, Dr. Charles Crane, MD and Dr. Paige T. Russell, DNP NP-C, will join the Bonner General Health portfolio of clinics, becoming Bonner General Internal Medicine.
The existing office will close Friday, Dec. 15. The new clinic will open on the Bonner General Health campus at 423 N. Third Ave., Suite 110, on Jan. 2.
BGH officials said they are excited to have the expertise and specialty skills of Crane and his team join the hospital.
"Dr. Crane is one of the region's most talented physicians, and his unique skill set, both as a hospitalist and in the outpatient, clinic setting, is unmatched," Dr. Stacey Good, BGH chief medical officer, said. "He is such an asset to Sandpoint and immensely respected within the medical community."
Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Crane diagnoses and treats a broad range of symptoms and diseases. He will continue to serve as a hospitalist at the 25-bed critical access hospital and healthcare network of outpatient clinics. He will perform a vast array of outpatient procedures, including endoscopic procedures.
Board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Russell received her doctorate of nursing practice through Idaho State University. Prior to earning her advanced degree, she served the greater Sandpoint community as a registered nurse at Bonner General Health for over 10 years.
Russell believes in a preventative approach to health care and performs preventative, diagnostic, and treatment interventions for acute and chronic diseases, conditions, and injuries.
The pair will be joined by long-time office colleagues, Karen Applegate, Kathryn Davis, and Susan Price, LPN.
Crane and Russell said they hope to continue the long-standing tradition of patient-centered care the Sandpoint community has enjoyed since 1977 initiated by Drs. Cope, Carlson and Burgstahler.
Bonner General Internal Medicine provides primary care for adults 18 years and older, offering both in-person and telehealth appointments. The clinic will begin seeing patients Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 423 N. Third Ave., Suite 110, Sandpoint. The clinic will be open Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. To learn more, visit bonnergeneral.org.
