PREP GIRLS WRESTLING: Garman, Stark win individual titles; Sandpoint fifth at M2 Mallet
SPOKANE — Izzy Stark (120) and Emma Garman (125) both won their respective weight classes to lead the Sandpoint girls wrestling team to a fifth place finish out of 28 teams at the M2 Mallet Invite held at Rogers High on Saturday.
Garman pinned all three of her opponents on Saturday. After a first round bye, she pinned Madison Falkner of Mt. Spokane (2:25), Ireland Grady of Bonners Ferry (1:59), and then Serenna Swiger of Mary Walker (1:54) in the championship match en route to a gold medal.
Stark did much of the same Saturday. After a first round bye, she pinned Addison Lathrop of Cheney (0:58), Alondra Cordova of Quincy (1:25), and Jalisca Holmgren of Cheney (0:58) in the championship to clinch gold.
