COLLEGE NOTEBOOK: Dickinson named All-NWAC East Region Honorable Mention

Recently, Sandpoint graduate Evan Dickinson was named an All-NWAC East Region Honorable Mention for his efforts this season. During his freshman campaign, he scored three goals and tallied one assist. He was the only Warrior to start all 19 games this year. Walla Walla finished the season 8-3-8 (6-2-4) and reached the NWAC quarterfinals where they were defeated by Rogue, 2-1. In addition to his academic success, Evan also finished the fall term with a 4.0 GPA.
Brandon Casey, Montana University Football
On Sunday, Jan. 7, Sandpoint’s Brandon Casey (#66) will be competing for the Griz in the Division I FCS National Championship. He has started every game this season on the offensive line. Montana (13-1) will face a tough opponent in South Dakota State (14-0), which is working on a 28-game winning streak dating back to 2021; Montana has won nine in a row. From 1969 to 2016, Montana and South Dakota State have played eight times, with the Grizzlies winning all eight matchups. The game will be played at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas at 11 a.m. PST and will air on ABC.
