Community chats to resume in the new year

SANDPOINT — Bonner County Commissioner Asia William’s community chats are returning in the new year after a brief break due to her health.

The chats will resume Jan. 9, the commissioner said, with Army Corps of Engineers officials speaking at the first and second chats of the year. The first chat will go over regulatory topics as well as various permits. The following week, on Jan. 16, wetlands, natural resources and Albany Falls will be discussed.

While Williams said she isn’t sure who will be joining the Jan. 23 chat, she wants residents to know that there will not be a community chat Jan. 30 as she will be at a conference out of town.

Community chats take place each Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the Bonner County Administration Building prior to the regularly scheduled commissioners’ business meeting at 9 a.m.
