The Pend Oreille Arts Council is inviting the community to its opening reception of its new exhibit, "Winter Mosaic."
The reception is planned for Friday, Jan. 5, 5 to 7 p.m., at the POAC Gallery, 313 N. Second Ave., Suite B.
"We invite everyone to join us for an evening of artistic delight and community spirit, as we embrace the diverse interpretations of winter in 'Winter Mosaic,’" Tone Stolz, POAC executive director, said.
The collective showcase, featuring 12 talented local artists, encourages a diverse exploration of the winter theme in all its facets. The featured artists include Russell Cash, Foster Cline, Don Fisher, Susan Gallo, Dave Gonzales, Suzanne Jewell, Terrel Jones, Daris Judd, Sheila Newenham, Cynthia Sue Oliver, Teresa Rancourt, and Eli Sevenich.
At the exhibit, the community is invited along on a visual journey through the beauty of winter as interpreted by the artists. Whether capturing the serenity of snow-covered landscapes, playing with the nuances of winter light, exploring the chilly color palette, or delving into the emotional essence of the season, "Winter Mosaic" promises a rich and varied experience for all.
The event provides a unique opportunity to meet the artists, celebrate Sandpoint’s arts community, and more.
All exhibited artworks are available for purchase, with proceeds directly benefiting both the participating artists and the Pend Oreille Arts Council. This is a chance to not only appreciate local talent but also to support the local arts community.
