Irene Hutchison, 87

Irene Hutchison, 87, of Sandpoint, Idaho, passed away Nov. 13, 2023, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. 

She was born Jan. 14, 1936, to Joseph and Mary Urbanski in Chicago, Ill.

Irene retired from Providence hospital in Everett, Wash. Irene loved making greeting cards, ceramics, and creating all sorts of art projects. In addition, Irene cherished moments with friends at the senior center, engaging in card games. She was a frequent participant in bingo sessions, both at the senior center and the Eagles Lodge.

Irene will be remembered greatly for her delicious pierogis and kolaczki. 

Irene is survived by her loving partner, Ed Taylor; children, Michelle Vangen (Gary), Mary Danas, Leon Lynn (Diana), and Trisha Hoover (Larry); grandchildren, Nicholas Upshaw (Jodie), Danica Wilbanks, Danielle Smith (Ben), Darren Wilbanks, Leon Lynn II (Chase Forslund), Tycen Lynn (Megan), Michael Danas (Chelsey), Anneke Lynn, Lindsey Campbell-Danas (Michael), and Easton Hoover; and great-grandchildren, Maguire Upshaw, Makayla Upshaw, Cohen Upshaw, Reid Upshaw, Lukas Danas, Jace Danas, Golden Lynn, Ella Danas, and Addison Upshaw. 

She was preceded in death by two of her sons, Bruce Hutchison (Kelly) and Norman Hutchison Jr., as well as son-in-law Larry Hoover (Trisha) and Gary Paul Vangen (Michelle).

The celebration of life will be held at the Sandpoint Senior Center on Jan. 13, 2024, at 11 a.m.
