Foundation seeks grant applications
SANDPOINT — The Kinderhaven Foundation will begin accepting applications for its community grant cycle Jan. 1, 2024.
Grant applications will be accepted on the foundation's new website at kinderhavenfoundation.org.
The following Bonner and Boundary county organizations or groups are encouraged to apply:
• An organization holding a current tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code;
• A recognized government entity: state, county, or city agency, including law enforcement or fire departments, that is requesting funds exclusively for charitable purposes;
• A pre-kindergarten to grade 12 public or private school, charter school, community/junior college,
• A church or other faith-based organization with a proposed project that benefits the community at large; or
• A program benefiting youth.
Grant applications will be accepted online only through March 1st. All applicants must meet the criteria of the Kinderhaven Foundation's mission of supporting youth in crisis in Bonner and Boundary counties. The foundation also aims to give those youth the resources in which their "emotional, physical and mental well-being are protected and enriched.”
Applications will be reviewed by the Kinderhaven Foundation Board in April 2024. Submitting an application doesn’t guarantee funding, but all applications will be considered. Foundation officials reserve the right to award grants solely at their discretion and to adjust the amount awarded. Applicants will be notified by email of the award decision in May.
