Charles 'Chuck' Hogarty, 87
Charles Stanley Hogarty was born in Kelso, Wash., on Feb. 13, 1935, to Clyde and Ethel Hogarty. Chuck passed to his rest Feb. 7, 2023, at his home in Sagle, Idaho, at the age of 88.
After graduating from Kelso High School in 1955, he began working at Weyerhaeuser. He was drafted into the U.S. Navy on Nov. 1, 1955, and was honorably discharged July 31, 1957, having served as a hospital corpsman.
Chuck married Peggy Boultinghouse during Christmas leave of 1955. They had three sons, Michael, Patrick and John. The marriage ended in divorce.
He married Jeannie McConnell on Feb. 19, 1977. He ended his working career with 19 great years at Walmart in Ponderay, Idaho, retiring Jan. 2, 2019, at the age of 83.
He is survived by his wife of 46 wonderful years, Jeannie, at home in Sagle, Idaho; sons and wives Michael and Lori Hogarty, Patrick and Lyssa Hogarty, John Hogarty, and Gene and Robin McConnell; daughters Carol and husband Greg Warren, and Kim Mouw; sisters-in-law Georgia Jacobs and Sharon Kelsey; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. There are also many wonderful friends, neighbors and church family who have helped us in so many ways, including meals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Hogarty; and sister Lola Figgins; brother-in-law Grant Kelsey; sister-in-law Rosalie Hogarty; and brother and wife Jack and Donna Hagerman.
With great anticipation, Chuck is looking forward to meeting his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in the clouds of glory on resurrection day. Amen.
