Development, growth are source of many problems

Following up on Janice Jarzabek's letter (Daily Bee, Feb. 5, 2023), all of you realize don't you that this issue with the geese has only become a problem in recent years since Sandpoint was discovered … by developers, property investors, and others who have or are moving here from California, Washington, Texas, Florida, Virginia, the list goes on.

People who pay huge sums for any property or house because they brought large sums of money from areas of the country that offer higher income opportunities — and are now driving our housing costs and property taxes so high as to price locals out of their abodes. The same mentality that is now driving "the Curve," Part II. The city doesn't care that this will cut a swatch through our town and what sense of community we still have. But as long as it facilitates all those precious new tax-paying transplants, what the heck!
