NIVBC wins championship

The North Idaho Volleyball Club's U12 team dominated the Ace of Hearts Tournament held at the HUB Sports Center in Spokane.
The team, coached by Piper Wahlin and Katey Crossingham, went undefeated to win the championship without dropping a single set.
In pool play, the locals opened by beating the Renovators of Spokane 25-15, 25-21.
Next up, they cruised past Idaho Impact from Coeur d'Alene, 25-11, 25-7.
Finally, the U12 team took down Club South from the Tri Cities 25-19, 25-17 to advance to the playoffs.
The story was the same in the playoffs as the Sandpoint-based team beat Club ZZU from Pullman 25-19, 25-23 in the opening round.
In the semifinals, they took down Sideout VBC from Spokane 25-23, 25-12.
After winning a close opening set in the finals, 25-20, NIVBC dominated the second set 25-12 to take down Shockwave of Richland, Wash., to bring home the hardware.
