Clark Fork is out of the running in round two
The Clark Fork Wampus Cats played the Leadore Mustangs in the second round of the 1A DII State Championship Tournament on Friday night. Lilly Reuter led the way with 23 points for the Wampus Cats, but the Mustangs walked away with the win 60-39.
Clark Fork shot 4-7 from the 3-point line in the first half, with Reuter shooting an impressive 7-14 from the 3-point line overall.
The Wampus Cats had a tough first half against the No. 5 seed Mustangs and trailed 33-17 heading into the second half.
They clawed their way back in the third quarter, but still trailed 50-30.
Clark Fork shot 45% from the 3-point line with Reuter, Emily Meyers, and Eloise Shelton all contributing.
The Wampus Cats finished this second-round game with a loss to Leadore, but it was an impressive appearance for a team that has fought many setbacks this season.
