Sandpoint wins on the road against Lakeland

Rusty Lee and Parker Childs led the Bulldogs with 17 and 18 points, respectively, Friday night as Sandpoint claimed a Inland Empire League win over the Hawks, 57-51.
“It was nice to see us shoot the ball better tonight,” head coach Brian Childs said. “We really struggled with that in Hawaii.”
Scotty Hocking scored 13 points for Lakeland (2-8, 0-2 IEL), which hosts Timberlake on Tuesday.
Sandpoint hosts Priest River next Saturday.
“Anytime you can get a league win on the road it’s nice because it’s so hard to do,” Childs said. “I’m proud of our kids.”
