STEAMER GETS TO SANDPOINT DOCK
The steamer Northern came down to the city dock for the first time since the freezeup. Ice extended out two or three hundred yards, and it took several hours to break in as the boat could make but a few feet at a time. The steamer’s last trip from Sandpoint was Dec. 8, so navigation from this port was closed only one month this season. Weather sharps say they do not look for much more freezing weather.
