Please help save Pine Street Sled Hill
I urge the community to support the purchase of the Pine Street Sled Hill. Kaniksu Land Trust has done an outstanding job of preserving the adjacent 180 acres for cross-country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, outdoor recreation, and education. It will bring the same commitment to preserving our historic sledding hill.
About $720,000 is needed over the next several months to secure this purchase. Please join me by contributing whatever you can. You can donate online at kaniksu.org by clicking on “Save the Sled Hill”; or by mail: PO Box 2123; or in person at KLT’s office at 1215 Michigan St., Suite A, Sandpoint, ID 83864.
At 77, I am a child at heart — and the proud owner of a restored Flexible Flyer runner sled which I regularly used on the Pine Street Sled Hill. The Sled Hill is quiet and closed this winter.
Your contributions can help restore a community institution and bring back the joyous shouts of sledders of all ages.
See you on the Sled Hill.
