| January 25, 2023 1:00 AM

Leonora Andrews passed away Nov. 2, 2022. Her last days were spent peacefully with family by her side. To family and friends, she was known as “Lennie.”

Lennie was born in the city of Pasay, Philippines. She was a World War II bride, marrying U.S. sailor George Andrews in 1946. In 1948, with a 1-year-old daughter, she joined her husband in the U.S., where Sandpoint, Idaho, became their home for more than 70 years.

Lennie and George’s family grew to include two sons. As a determined young mother, she pursued her dream of becoming a cosmetologist. She worked at the downtown Sandpoint Beauty School and later from her home in a small salon.

Lennie loved traveling to Hawaii, going to the movies, dressing up and shopping. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, creating many beautiful floral arrangements, which she delighted in sharing with others.

She’ll be remembered by her family for her enduring strength and her will to overcome any obstacles that came her way.

Lennie is survived by three children, Joan (Bob), John (Vicki) and George (Nancy). Lennie was also blessed with nine grandsons and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, George, two sisters and her parents.

The family will gather to celebrate the lives of both Lennie and George.

Family and friends are invited to sign Lennie’s online guest book at www.coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service of Sandpoint.
