WBCSD welcomes new faces, forensic audit

We are all getting well and truly sick of the outright lies in the debate over the West Bonner County school board and superintendent. Now that the two or three families which have controlled the school district for years, enriching themselves with nepotism and questionable handling of the finances in the process, have brought in the Democratic front groups (see Idaho Moms, Good Government Bulldogs, etc) and radical leftist activists (see Colin Day), the lying has reached epidemic proportions.

They are so scared of a forensic audit that they’re claiming that it's illegal for the school board to hire its own independent counsel. Well, the Idaho law on that is pretty clear. Title 33 Section 506-3(c) reads:

(3) It shall be the duty of each member of the board of trustees to attend all meetings, both regular and special; and the board shall have the following powers and duties:

(c) To employ an attorney or attorneys when deemed for the best interests of the district, or for the purpose of defending the district against any suit or for bringing action deemed necessary to be commenced by the board.

Looks like somebody lied. And if they lied about something that plain and straightforward and easy to catch, you can only imagine what’s happening with the finances. No wonder they’re doing everything they can to stop a forensic audit.
